BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
You can easily reach the Pala Alpitour facility via Public transportation. With a ticket of 1.70€ per run you can hop into any of the following Bus/tram lines: 4, 10, 17 or 63.
The Underground Metro will not take you to Pala Alpitour. Best option would be to take the Metro up to Porta Nuova train station and then hop to Tram line number 4.
Specifically, from:
- Porta Nuova Train station: it is a 12 minutes ride on the tram 4
- Piazza Castello: it’s a 25 minutes ride (walk up to Bertola stop and then get the tram 4)
- Piazza Vittorio Veneto it takes 35 minutes and two tram lines: 15 and 4
BY CAR
If you travel by car, it is a quick 15 mins car drive from Turin city center. To park your car you have few options, see below ranked from most expensive to cheapest:
- Private Parking in “Piazzale Caio Mario”: Easy but expensive option (3€ 1st hour, 14€ for 12 hours)
- Look for any parking spot with “blue” lines nearby: cost will be much cheaper (1.5€ per hour). Easiest option for paying is by downloading the Easypark app and adding your licence plate
- Look for any parking spot nearby with “white” lines – FREE of charge
12.Where eat near Turin Pala Alpitour?
Inside the Pala Alpitour there is a Food Court, but its gonna be packed with people and prices are on the high side. Bring your own food & beverage, you are allowed to do so.
I bought the morning ticket which gave me access to two games: the Doubles match at 11:30 and the Singles match at 14:00. Time lunch was short and everyone went at the same time: huge queues.
You could also go for food outside nearby the Alpitour after the match. See Below.
The below are all 5-10 mins walking distance from Pala Alpitour in case you want to have a proper meal and take the opportunity to try some local food at affordable price .
RESTAURANTS – sit down
- Trattorie Alle Lavagne – Great local food (appetizers 6-8€/ first course 7-9€/Desserts 3.5€)
- Osteria La Cena coi Fiocchi – Good restaurant & service
QUICK MEAL – on the go
- L’arte della Crepe – for savoury or sweet crepes. Good flavour & good prices
- All’Oca di Pulcinella – Good Pizzas, Fast service (a full Margherita 4.5€)
13. Check out the Fan Zone
Each ticket will give you access to two games: the Double and the Single. Before and after the games you’ll have time to check out the “fan zone” and its entertainment areas .
You wont’ be short of things to do and there will be lots of stands to stop at for food, drinks or buying some souvenirs.
14. Accomodation near Pala Alpitour?
I personally do not recommend to stay near Pala Alpitour, as there is not much around.
I suggest to stay in a nice hotel near Porta Nuova train station as it is in the middle of the city center and just 12 mins away from Pala Alpitour by public transportation (take tram line 4).
My #1 recommendation is Nh Torino Centro Hotel, see link in section below. We paid 190€ for a Double Room and we were upgraded to a Junior suite free of charge (pictures above)!
BEST HOTELS: HIGHER PRICE (75-200 € pp/per night)
- Hotel Nh Torino Centro – to me best hotel in Turin in terms of quality/price ratio (140-200€)
- Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour – Great area, a few steps away from Piazza San Carlo. Classy interiors.
BEST HOTELS: AFFORDABLE PRICE (below 50-75€ pp/per night):
- Hotel Elena – Really Cheap (60€), no frills but clean – will do the job
- Hotel Urbani – Good Hotel, Good Price – mainly for young people (noisy neighborhood at night)
- Hotel Adalesia – nice area, further away from the station. Ok for all age groups.
