1. Is Torino Outlet Village worth it?

My personal opinion is: Yes, Torino Outlet village is 100% worth it !

Unlike other shopping malls or department stores in Turin, the Torino Outlet Village is a place where you can really find some incredibly good bargain deals.

The website claims up to -70% off, obviously this is not the norm or at least not on the super cool & trendy products.

Finding such good deals really depends on timing & luck. But you can definitely find great products at -30% off.

I’ve never shopped at Gucci or super premium brands like that, I so I can’t really tell you if you can find good deals on such brand. Yet, let me give you some examples of deals I found over the years.

2. Real Shopping Deals Examples from my personal shopping trip

To make you understand a bit better what kind of products you can find and at which price at the Torino Outlet Village, let me share with you pictures from some of the shopping trips I did over the years.

TOP TIP: I definitely recommend to pass by this outlet during Black Friday week and the week before !

ARMANI

In order to shop for suits, I went to the store called il Lanificio as well as to the Armani shop.

In the first shop a found a bright blue suit from Cerrutti while on the second a found a grey suit from Armani. See pictures below.

The Armani suit was sold at only 349 euros which was a really GREAT deal! To be honest I never found such a good deal in Armani outlet, I think in this case I was exceptionally lucky.

Nevertheless, since that day I always pop in the Armani Outlet store to have a quick look if any exceptionally good deals are hanging around.

SALOMON

At Salomon, you can find good deals on their ski equipment. Particulary so if you shop outside the winter season.

Here I found their X-Max 7 skis at 314 eur , which is -30% off and -125 euros cheaper than their price in regular stores.

Here is where I bought my ski boots. The price of the boots was 181 eur, which translated into -30% off vs their regular stores. You can see the price tag in the picture below.

To be sure, I crossed check on their website and I confirmed that the regular price of these boots at that point in time was in line with what was shown in store as their “regular” price.

In this case, the Regular Price of the ski boots was 260 euros while the Outlet Price was 181 euros. Hence, I managed to save a total of -79 Euros 🙂 .

ADIDAS

At Adidas I recently bought their iconic Stan Smiths shoes at 70 eur.

As you might know, these shoes downtown are typically sold at approximately 120-130 euros.

Of course in this case I didn’t find the most popular colors, hence couldn’t find neither the Blue nor thr Green colour on the back heal. I found the salmon color which I think turned out to be a good choice.

NIKE

At Nike is more difficult to find good deals. Yet, once I was able to buy their Pegasus Running shoes at -50% off. This deal applied to all colours.

I am solid runner. I’ve run a few half-marathons in my life so I tend to erode my running shoes relatively quickly. I am very much familiar with the Nike Pegasus running shoe.

Hence, when I found this deal I literally couldn’t believe my eyes. I ended up buying two pair of shoes that day!

BROOKS BROTHERS

At Brooks Brothers you will never find a discount on their iconic “No Iron” shirts. But back in November I bought two sweaters each of which at -30% off vs their regular price.

One sweater was 100% made of Wool and the other one was 100% Cashmere. This is to show that you can find deals on extremely good quality products.

TIMBERLAND

At Timberland I managed to find their iconic yellow Boots at appox -40% off, but I bought them in July.

I also go there to regularly buy their spring shoes and depending on how lucky I am I find them at -20% to -30% off vs their regular store on the Highstreet.

POLLINI

Pollini is one of my favorite shoe shops, it is a bit expensive but the quality of their products is unparalleled and well ahead of much more popular fashion brands.

The outlet price of one of the shoes I tried on was 229 euros, which was -40% off or -156 euro cheaper compared to what is sold in their regular stores (385 euros).

You can check the price tag on the pictures below if you don’t believe me 🙂

The Outlet is very recent, it opened only a few years ago (in 2017). This was a big break through in Turin’s shopping environment.

As there are so many brands in the village it is quite easy to get lost.

8. Why is Torino outlet it called Village?

The outlet is called “village” rather than shopping mall as it is in the open. It is NOT a shopping mall.

There is a main pedestrian only street which goes around in a circle. There is no roof above this street. On each side of the street there are the different stores and restaurants.

This makes the shopping trip much more pleasant during good weather days as you can enjoy fresh air, natural light and look at the blue sky.

The downside of this is that it becomes a tiny bit inconvenient during rainy days.

To have a better idea of what you can expect, you can see my 1 minute walking tour inside the Outlet Village in the video below.
